Welcome to Sassy Southerners LLC a unique handmade Louisiana themed gift boutique that also features products from some other local Louisiana vendors! 

 

Before my grandmother passed in August of 2021 she and I had a lot of talks about what paths to take in life. After her passing I knew I needed to honor her wishes and build myself a independent and better future for myself. This is when I decided to start Sassy Southerners LLC. My grandmother loved to paint, she for many years of her life decorated her Mardi Gras float and made yard art, she was always into a craft of sorts or just coloring. Even in the end when she was not at her best she still wanted paint by number sets to try and still paint something but she would tell you they didnt do a good enough job at the colors and make up her own. Every single piece I make I do it in her memory and in her honor, she was the true definition of a Sassy Southerner, when she passed she took a huge piece of my heart with her. My most honored inheritance from her was her craft supplies, so now you can guarantee that your items were made with love from the most pure heart there ever was, my nan.

 

Sassy Southerners is dedicated to bringing you handmade and local goods and gifts that are true to our Louisiana culture. All of our shells that we use are reclaimed or purchased from a local store as we believe in supporting our local community and fellow small businesses.

These beautiful frames are hand painted and sealed with a high gloss seal. Each frame either features a 4x6 or 5x7 acrylic frame and is made to hang on your wall or stand on your favorite surface in your home. 

 

Always losing your keys or know someone who is? Or when you drop the kids off at school do you prefer to just grab your keys and a wristlet and run? How about shopping trips to the store or running errands or to the gym, how do you like to transport your keys?

I sure do and I love making them, so if you answered yes to this question then watch these two collections Wooden Crosses Oyster and Glass, Wood Art and the next collection is Canvas Art, Oyster Cross on Canvas like a hawk because they will grow and grow over the next two months by leaps and bounds, the supplies are sitting next to me just waiting! I have HUGE plans for these sections and I cannot wait to get busy! The glass crosses are made from crushed glass and the wood that the glass is on is painted with a color shift paint that changes colors in the light, its incredible and something to see… can you tell I am excited about this! 

 

Nightlights is a newer category for us but its coming along so well, we will have by the end of this month close to 20 different styles of nightlights and it will keep growing I have a feeling! We have one beautiful kind that is a mother of pearl shell, you just have to see this shell in person to appreciate its beauty. The rest of the shells are created using a process called decoupage, they come out so beautiful and feature things like humming birds, dragons, blue gold specks, floral patterns, bees, robins egg nest, chickadees and so much more to come. 

 

Love Magnets? We do too! We take all muscle, clam and oyster shells and create magnets from them! Go check it out in our magnet collection! 

Jewelry! Who does not love this category! We many different beautiful collections to choose from and are always adding more.
